Senior School
General Information
Senior School involves Years 9-12 and students are easily identified by their more adult uniform of grey skirts, long trousers, a black blazer and red tie with the Senior crest. Year 12 have their own small kitchen and eating area but all senior years use the specially designated upper area of the Library where computers are provided for their preparation work and assessment tasks.
One of the many advantages of enrolling in Green Point Christian College for the senior years is that many class sizes are smaller than in some larger schools, providing students with the individual and quality attention that they need to maximise their performance in these vital last years of school.
Our aim in the senior years is to develop a work ethos which ensures that each student makes the best use of these last years. Two key examinations, the School Certificate and Higher School Certificate give a sharp focus to these years.
Although final academic performance is important and we will do all we can to ensure success in this area, it is only a part of the overall education that Green Point offers. It is our strong desire and vision to see all of our students equipped not only academically, but also personally and spiritually, to survive and make an impact in society.
Ultimately we want our students to be true ambassadors for Christ and to become Christian leaders in the community. We encourage them to accept challenges for mission and leadership throughout their senior years.
