Care and Nurture

The care and nurture of all students is sustained through the strong Christian commitment of all members of staff.  Each day students take part in a Devotions time with their teachers both in Junior School and Secondary School.

Students are encouraged to grow in their faith through small prayer groups and Bible studies held at lunchtimes.  Opportunities are given for students to be part of the Worship Bands in the College as well as joining short term mission trips both locally and overseas.

To promote character and responsibility, we insist on consistent discipline with justice and grace.  The College provides a secure, encouraging and safe environment for students to grow and develop in an atmosphere with clear boundaries.

The College Counsellors are also able to come alongside any students and families who are going through crises or issues needing consultation.  We have two professional Counsellors, one who works specifically with Junior students and the other with Secondary students.

In Years 7 and 8 the students all participate in a specially designed program to foster healthy self image and worth, dealing with the issues of bullying and peer pressure.

A system of leadership development operates throughout each section of the College where leaders are chosen and given responsibilities.  The College has Captains and Vice Captains assisted by a group of Prefects in Years 11 and 12.  Developing leadership amongst our students is a vital element in their growth.
