Welcome to

Green Point Christian College Netball Club

ANNOUNCEMENT 24 JANUARY 2021

It is with a heavy heart and after much deliberation that the GPCC Netball Club is now in recess due to difficulty forming the required Committee to operate the Club.

We recognise that this will be disappointing for many, but we encourage players to look for opportunities to play with other nearby Clubs for the upcoming season.

GPCCNC Committee

Green Point Christian College Netball Club (GPCCNC) is a school based sporting club participating in the Gosford Netball Association (GNA) competition.

In 2019 we had 17 Netball teams, ranging from:

Net-Set-Go: 5 and 6 year olds skills development program,

Net-Mod: 7 to 8 year olds playing modified netball,

Net-Play: 9 year olds playing netball and transitioning to full rules,

Junior Competition: 10 to 17 year olds in the competition grades, and

Senior Competition: 18 years and over in the competition divisions.

Over 149 players in total!

Green Point Christian College Netball Club was awarded Large Club of the Year for 2018 by Gosford Netball Association. The prestigious award is based on the Club’s activities during the season including umpire awards and badges, coach training and accreditation, involvement at a GNA Committee level and team competition points and results. We very grateful to all our members who have contributed to achieving this award!

We welcome our returning players and any new players to our club – actually we are more than a club we are a community. We encompass players and families from within and outside our school community.

All games are played on a Saturday at Adcock Park, Gosford with teams playing at the same time every week. Training is held after school on the Green Point Christian College netball courts.

Our teams are based on age/school year and if there are multiple teams in a year group we grade players to determine the make-up of the teams (10 years and above).

Our Club also provides opportunity for coaching, team management and umpiring at all levels – we encourage both parents and players to get involved. This is an excellent opportunity not only to learn new skills but also to contribute to the club and school community.  *See links below to documents concerning these areas.

Netball is a fun sport providing a great opportunity to play as a team, develop friendships and learn new skills. We play for Green Point Christian College and expect all players and their families to respect the ethos of our school.  We play for Green Point Christian College and expect all players and their families to respect the ethos of our school – displaying the Green Point Christian College spirit on and off the court.
