Symphony of Stories: Book Week Parade Day
Symphony of Stories
This year’s Book Week theme, "Symphony of Stories," brought our whole College to life.
We had activities running across the week involving both Primary and Secondary that we’ve shared in our earlier news stories, all building up to a massive final day of celebrations.
We capped off the week with two fantastic costume parades for Primary and Secondary, bringing plenty of color, music, and clever ideas into the College. The teachers topped the Primary Parade off with a Splendiferous theatrical performance written by our very own Mrs Kylie Bourke. After the parades, the grounds transformed into a carnival, complete with fair games, interactive stalls, delicious food, and friendly competitions. Our secondary students did a brilliant job helping run the activities and keeping the energy high all afternoon.
It was beautiful seeing students of all ages sharing their favorite books, cheering each other on, and celebrating the great joy of reading, wonder and creative thinking together.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped bring our "Symphony of Stories" to song.
Green Point Christian College acknowledges God our Father, the creator and giver of all life, and the Darkinjung people who are the traditional custodians of this land. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We pray God's blessings over all indigenous people groups, and we ask for His wisdom as we love and respect each other as God intended.
