GPCC Celebrates 44 years
This week, we celebrated a significant milestone as students, staff, alumni, and guests came together for our 44th Annual Foundation Day Assembly.
The event was a vibrant celebration of our rich history, enduring values, and the strong sense of community we have cultivated over more than four decades. It was a special opportunity to reflect on our journey and recognize the people who have helped shape GPCC into the College it is today.
Our assembly featured an inspiring program of music performance and dramatic presentations that showcased the talent and creativity of our students. We were also encouraged by a keynote speaker, Georgina Battle, who reflected on her own journey at GPCC, and the lasting impact the College has had on generations of students and families.
Praise and worship were a meaningful part of the celebration, bringing our community together in gratitude and reflection as we acknowledged God's faithfulness throughout our 44-year history.
One of the highlights of the event was a special sneak peek of our upcoming primary production, Peter Pan Jr. Our students delighted the audience with a preview of the musical, creating excitement and anticipation for the full performance coming soon.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, several alumni returned to join the celebrations. Their presence reminded us of the lasting connections formed at GPCC and the legacy that continues through former students who remain an important part of our College family.
Our Foundation Day Assembly was a joyful and memorable occasion that celebrated not only 44 years of educational excellence, but also the faith, friendships, and community spirit that continue to define who we are. As we look to the future, the celebration gave us an opportunity to honor our past while embracing the exciting opportunities ahead.
Green Point Christian College acknowledges God our Father, the creator and giver of all life, and the Darkinjung people who are the traditional custodians of this land. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We pray God's blessings over all indigenous people groups, and we ask for His wisdom as we love and respect each other as God intended.
