Our History
Green Point Christian College began in 1982 with just 17 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, guided by one dedicated teacher.
The original vision of the people from Green Point Baptist Church was to offer education to the children of Christian families who wanted Christian values and Biblical principles supported in their children’s learning.
From its earliest days, the College has been grounded in a strong sense of purpose. Its original motto, “Grow Up Into Christ,” reflected a deep commitment to partnering with families, recognising the school as an extension of the home and supporting the values and teaching nurtured by parents. As the College community expanded, its name was updated in 1995 from Green Point Baptist Christian Community School to Green Point Christian College, alongside a refreshed uniform. A new Vision Statement was also established: “Excellence in Christ-Centred Education.”
In its beginnings, the College was generously housed within Green Point Baptist Church, before moving to its current site in 1989, where the first permanent facilities were built. Since then, the campus has continued to grow and develop, thoughtfully responding to the needs of an expanding community.
Today, the College remains committed to providing high-quality educational facilities and resources, fostering excellence in learning, and supporting each student to grow and flourish in their God-given potential.
Equipped for Life
Green Point Christian College acknowledges God our Father, the creator and giver of all life, and the Darkinjung people who are the traditional custodians of this land. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We pray God's blessings over all indigenous people groups, and we ask for His wisdom as we love and respect each other as God intended.
