Missions & Service
Our students have opportunities to serve within our local community, nationally, and internationally, equipping them for lives of redemptive action.
Primary School
In the Primary School, students are encouraged to serve both within the College and the wider community.
Opportunities include leading prayer in Chapel, supporting sponsor children through Baptist World Aid Australia, caring for the environment through Eco Warriors, and creating blankets and teddy bears for Gosford Hospital through Yarn Club.
Year 6 students can join the Primary Service Team, serving younger students and assisting around the school, while the Primary Choir shares joy and encouragement through performances at local nursing homes and community venues.
Towards the end of each year, our students pack Christmas shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child to bless children in developing countries.
Secondary School
Our Secondary students actively serve within the Central Coast community regularly assisting with meal service at Coast Shelter.
Through our longstanding partnership with the Brewarrina community and Brewarrina Christian School, students take part in service trips that explore Indigenous culture, Australian history, and Christian ministry in action. Year 9 students are invited to participate in outreach activities including scripture teaching, youth programs, church ministry, and community engagement.
Students also have opportunities to support the work of the Bali Life Foundation, serving underprivileged children and families in Bali. Each year, selected Year 10 and 11 students take part in a service trip to visit and support Bali Life projects, alongside College fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
Green Point Christian College acknowledges God our Father, the creator and giver of all life, and the Darkinjung people who are the traditional custodians of this land. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We pray God's blessings over all indigenous people groups, and we ask for His wisdom as we love and respect each other as God intended.
