Sport in the Junior School

In the Junior School many sporting opportunities are available.  Carnivals are held for Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics each year and students are able to represent the College in Central Coast, Hunter District, NSW and National levels.  Many opportunities exist for students to represent the Junior School in sports such as:  Rugby League and Union, Soccer, Cricket, Netball, Basketball and others.

Once a week sport is held where students learn the basics of different sports and may participate to the level of their ability.

Sport in the Secondary School

There is a broad range of sporting opportunities offered to students in Secondary School. There are the main three Carnivals – Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics, that present students with the opportunity to represent the College all the way to a National All Schools level. The College is a member of CSSA (Christian Schools Sports Association) through which most of the sporting opportunities are made available. More locally, the College is associated with THACCCSA (Taree, Hunter and Central Coast Christian Schools Association) which is a branch of CSSA.  Talented students can also go further with representation at the NSWCIS (Combined Independent Schools) level and National level.

Students can participate in Basketball, Futsal, Netball, Soccer, Rugby League and Union, Touch Football, Cricket, Equestrian, Tennis and many more.  The students love representing the College in team sports and have experienced a high degree of success.  Students are primarily encouraged to participate in sport as a means of achieving positive health and fitness.  This can also be done in PE classes where students participate in an integrated sports programme in which they will learn and play a range of sports.
